NEWS, I’m Adriana Mendez and today we are


going to talk about Angelina Jolie who poses
covered in bees for National Geographic

Angelina Jolie has long been involved with the


UNHCR as a special envoy, and now she's also
working with UNESCO and Guerlain on a
Women for Bees initiative that will ultimately
build 2,500 bee hives and restock 125 million
bees by 2025—while training and supporting
50 women beekeepers

To that end, she has posed covered in live bees


for National Geographic, to produce a
photograph and accompanying “living
portrait”.

Dan Winters, Academy Award winner Jolie had
to remain still for 18 minutes as the insects
crawled all over her.

She said that it just felt lovely to be connected


to these beautiful creatures. There was
certainly a human. According to her you have
to be really still and in your body — in the
moment — which was not easy for her

She expressed that she had to put some things


in her nose and ears so that you don't leave
them so many holes to climb.

Prior to the photoshoot, Jolie was wiped with


pheremones to calm the bees.

Acording to her they couldn’t shower for three


days before. Because they told her that ‘If she
have all these different scents, shampoos and
perfumes and things, the bee doesn’t know
what you are’”

She said that They] wasn't want [bees] to


confuse you for a flower, she supposed
