As for me, globalization is a very complex and controversial issue.

First
of all, I should admit the definition of this word. Globalization is the
process of increased integration and co-operation of different national
economies. It has involved greater free trade, movement of labour,
increased capital flows, the growth of multi-national companies and ect.
As to the country, globalization has a great impact. First of all, there is
an increased trade. It means there is a wider variety of goods. Also, the
greater competition takes place nowadays. It leads to lower prices which
is a good impact on people who buy things. Among other influences on
the country there are an increased capital and labour mobility, tax
avoidance and economies of scale (which leads to more efficient
production).
There are some benefits of globalization. Among them there is free
movement of labour which means that a person can look for a job
anywhere in case the country experiences high unemployment. Another
advantage is a free trade as I have already mentioned. It leads to lower
prices for consumers, to bigger export markets, to greater competition
and to greater variety of goods.
Also, there are some disadvantages. For example, free trade can harm
developing countries. Our environment can suffer from it because the
globalization has increased the use of non-renewable resources. We can
also observe less cultural diversity.
As for me, globalization also has an impact. It enhances the ability to
access and apply knowledge, to think independently and to communicate
with others. It is very important for me as a student. Through the effect
of globalization, I can learn many things about other countries and be
interested in other parts of the world and their traditions.
So, in conclusion, I want to summarize that globalization has some
advantages and disadvantages equally for our country and for my
personal life.
