What happens when I’m eighteen

For seventeen years, Lola’s the one who would wake me up

I’d wash my face and brush ‘til my teeth all clean
Checked on my schedule while sippin’ from my fav’rite cup
“Class again??”, and by then, it is 7:15?!

And so I go downstairs, looking like the dork I’ll be

Play with my two fur babies, Candy and Rocky
Water the plants with mom, and eat, then basic’lly,
Wonder what happens ‘til I’m eighteen?

Then after lunch, my papa would teach me driving

Bond with my siblings, watch Netflix and anime!
Sneek in the kitchen to make and bake some pastries
Then I stretch, maybe sketch... Take a nap… Cry of stress!!!

For years I’ve done these things, what could even happen next?
I’m still the so-called “Lola’s palangga”, I swear!
But also I do not know what the future holds
They say that life begins at eighteen…
So I keep wondering, wonderin’, wonderin’, wonderin’,
What happens when I’m eighteen?

On Sunday night, lights will appear

And they will do it on my birthday this year
What is it like, out there where they glow?
Now I’m getting older
What might happen, If I’ll go?
