have the right the best medical treatment available. Also it provides a full range of health
services (sometimes free) to every resident in the United Kingdom.
The cost is met largely from the Treasury. For example medical prescriptions and dental
treatment and so on.
The services provided by the NHS have three groups:
I. The hospital and specialist services.
II. The general practitioners services.
III. The local authorities health and welfare services.
The services of family doctors are provided under the NHS. Family doctors are assisted by
nurses, midwives and health workers. Also we can say that many people is registered with a
family doctor under the NHS.
The hospital and specialists services provide hospital accommodations of all kinds for in-
patients and out-patients; hospital maternity departments, infectious disease units,
convalescent homes, rehabilitation departments, etc.
As well in Britain, some people have a family doctor whom is private doctor on a fee-paying
basis. And a private doctor is different from an ordinary doctor. For example if ordinary
doctor and you want to do the surgery, you can wait a month. And if private doctor so you
can wait one weak.
