Today, I taught my CT’s advisee, section 19. I was both excited and nervous earlier since
this day is my first time teaching actual students. The discussion went quite smooth, only that I have
noticed that only few students have attended the class that day, and although some students are present,
they are not participating. I somehow felt the awkwardness, so what I did was, aside from repeating and
rephrasing the questions, I encouraged them to try and speak. From this, I have realized that, students will
be more motivated to participate if they know that their responses will not be judged. And since I spent a
time explaining it’s never a sin to commit mistakes, I suppose they became more calm and relaxed.

TUESDAY: OCTOBER 26, 2021

In the morning, I taught the section 9, while in the afternoon, I taught section 13 about
adverbs. The routine was the same as yesterday, I discussed, presented a clip from youtube so they could
visualize the events in “the lottery”, and asked them to submit response in mentimeter website. But, the
problem I encountered yesterday is also present today because we had low number of class attendees. It
would be a challenge for me in the upcoming weeks to encourage them to attend online classes. There
was also a little problem with regard to participation, but I have learned from these two sections that I just
really have to be patient because I could always elicit answers from them, although sometimes it will take

Today, I just taught the section 24 with the same topic. After the discussion, I checked
their activity and those students from other sections who still want to submit their activity. As
usual, I had a problem with the attendance and to encourage participation, I just tried to make the
discussion lighter. I also asked them to maximize the chat box and type a dot if they don’t have
question so I could proceed.

FRIDAY: OCTOBER 29, 2021

We have no class during Fridays, so my cooperating teacher just asked me if I could make a
video that will serve as a review for the four sections. I spent the time studying the modules 1-3
before I could make a presentation and record a video. It was also during this day when I helped
my CT checking the module and activity of the students.
