Dr. Edmond,

I am seeking provisional employment as a middle grades teacher in your school district. I

currently hold a bachelor’s degree in Public Health from Georgia College & State University,
where I am currently enrolled in the Master of Arts in Teaching, Middle Grades Education
Program. My certification focus areas are mathematics and science.

I have experience as a substitute teacher, as I worked in Washington County School Systems

from September 2019 to March 2020. During this time, I worked a total of 528 hours, over half
of which were in grades 4-8. This semester I have completed 100 hours of field placement, split
evening between 5th grade and 6th grade mathematics.

Washington County School System strives help students excel in academics, arts, and athletics,
producing students who will become pillars of the community. This vision and mission is in
alignment with my personal philosophy. Part of my philosophy is to be the adult I would have
liked to had as a young adolescent. I know that for so many students I will be more than just a
teacher; I will be a trusted adult. I take this role seriously as I will strive to advocate for students
in every aspects of development. Every child deserves a champion, someone who is committed
to their well-being. I promise to be that person.
