Purposive Communication
Activity 1. Research on various cultural and intellectual modes of communication (e.g.
words/gestures used in a particular region or country to show respect) and/or various issues in
communication (e.g. use of politically correct words in today’s world; gender sensitivity through
language).

Intercultural communication is the exchange of information from different cultures. One of the
examples of those is the story of Deib and Maxpein from wattpad. Deib is a Filipino and Maxpein is a
North Korean who got married despite of their different cultures and traditions. Even though their
way of life is very different, they accept each others culture and shared their views in life.

One of the examples of various issues in communication is a youtuber got criticize by many
people because of disrespecting a tricycle driver in his video. Many influencers react on his video
and criticize him. Neither influencers or not bashed him because of his attitude that he have. A lot of
people watch his video because of the shared posts and videos that appears on their social media
accounts.
