SMART GOALS

Goal statement: I will make dean’s list of excellent academic standing every semester in the
Child and Youth Care program at Georgian College I will work hard to achieve an average grade
of 90% in all classes in all 5 semesters. This goal will be completed once I receive a
conformation email from the dean of Georgian College to inform me, I will be graduating on the
dean’s list with high academic standing, I will also be able to ensure my grade average is 90% or
higher by checking my final academic transcript on banner.

Goal statement: I will obtain a collection of assignments, projects literature and resources to
better prepare me for the field. I will create a folder on my laptop specifically for all the
assignments that will be useful for my portfolio to show my knowledge and experience or
resources that would be essential to have going into the workforce. This goal will continuously
be achieved however by the time I graduate from Georgian College I should have a large variety
and number of resources collected in my folder.

Goal statement: I will complete a portfolio of evidence-based programs and activity that could
be implement for children and youth while working in the field. I will set up a document to
create and collect these programs. In the document I will describe the program, the youth or child
it could be used for and cite the evidence behind it. I will complete 10 of these programs by
graduation at Georgian college

Goal statement: To gain experience in the field. I will apply for jobs or opportunity’s in the
child and youth care field and aim to get hired for an opportunity 4 months after graduation.
