II. Answer the following:

1. Recall the time when you were at school and your teacher told the class to create
groupings for a specific project. Each group should also select a leader or set of officers
to make the project more efficient. Unfortunately, despite your efforts, your project was a
failure…Share your story and answer the following questions:

What was the project all about?

The project was about writing a newspaper article for a recent program event held
inside the school during our foundation day.

What was your role in the project?

I am only a member of the group.

How can you describe your group members and your leaders?
Our group leader was clearly not taking responsibility and the members just go
with the flow expecting others to do the major work on our project.

Did your group met problems or conflict while doing your project?
Yes. We argued a few times before finally making a decision on what to do and how
to start gathering ideas on what to write in the article.

How did your group solve it?

We asked opinions from each other first and combined the ideas then started
assigning tasks for each one to finish the project.
Which part did your group fall short that caused the project unsuccessful?
What made our project fail was the lack of time to really prepare, recheck and
reassess our initial ideas and change some mistakes. It was like an on the spot
mediocrely made project that we did just for the sake of passing it.

If you will be in the same scenario, what would you do to make it successful?
First, I’ll re-align members focus and mindset towards the group project. I should
point out how important team work is. Then, I’ll set an objective and assign tasks to
members based on their strengths to make everyone cooperate. Then we’ll exchange
ideas too to improve and maximize resources.

2. Write a short story about your favorite sports and the specific team you cheered on
every time they are playing. Describe the role of each member how they are doing their
part in the game. Does this team always win and what do you think is their strategy/ies in
winning? When the odds are on their side, how do they resolve it?

 I have watched UAAP volleyball tournaments. And the team I really cheered on
is the women’s team Lady Eagles of Ateneo de Manila University. I wasn’t able to
watch all their previous game plays every season, but I’m an avid fan of their
team. Every member is just so strong-willed to win and very passionate. They lose
a few times, experiences setbacks and injuries but they comes back stronger. Each
one does their part well and focuses on team work. They also lost some of their
senior core players many times who graduated, but still was able to rebuild the
team and win from other teams. They were always a strong opponent for La Salle
during the finals. But even they did lose quite many times against DLSU, they
were a great team for me. I think their strategy for winning is their faith towards
each member. And most importantly, the relationship they have that cannot be
dragged which roots for their unity. When faced by the odds, I think they tend to
resolve it by switching players and strengthening their core line ups. Through this,
they see which players go together best. I am looking forward to the 84th season.
