1. Describe your mental model of leadership.

 My mental model of leadership is the one who’s with high self-efficacy but still
enjoys the process and the challenges. A good leader also endures failures and can
recover quickly with setbacks. Also, it is one that empathizes to their members’
struggles and builds a safe zone of trust with them. Because true leaders for me are
those that risks the same and is not high to its authority. They struggle along, not
just order around. In everything they do, they give their best for what’s better and
for gain of the members even without concern for themselves and sacrificing their
own. Leaders build others and grow with them, be able to socialize and gain
relationship, and help each other throughout.

2. What is the difference between leadership and management?

 Leadership is to help and influence each other be their better selves, constantly
learn, and improve holistically towards reaching a single goal. While management
is simply keeping things and people in controlled order to retain an organized
work environment and accomplish a goal. Therefore, it is influence and inspiration
that separate leaders from managers, not power and control.

3. For you, are leaders born or made?

 Leaders for me, are made. There is no such thing as naturally born leaders. Yes,
some people can already be dominant and good in leading from a younger age, but
that doesn’t mean anyone who didn’t start the same can’t be leaders too. Because
who we are is a result of different influencing factors. Like what environment you
are exposed to, who are the people you interact yourself with, and what you feed
your mind and yourself in general. Others that think they can’t be leaders were
actually a product of growing up thinking they really can’t. Therefore, leaders are
made. They are made from heavy experiences, struggles, and a ton of setbacks.
But their key power is their strong will and mindset towards the matter. Even
greatest leaders today are made.
