Mindset

Positive psychology offers a lot of ways to enhance and develop a positive self-
belief system and why this is important for happiness, balance and success. Dr.
Carol Dweck’s research suggests that healthy robust learners have a ‘growth
mindset’. Developing a growth mindset involves neutralising beliefs that block
growth and embracing the idea that success is a result of effort and not based on
talent, luck or dna. Replace ‘I can’t’ with ‘I can’t yet!’
Try the Mindset questionnaire: where you score low, look at the next box on
the right and ask how you can achieve it.
