Report on ETA: 2021

ETA is the literature committee of the EXTC department that is abbreviated as Electronics
and Telecommunication Association. ETA's motive is to help develop the technical mind-set
of readers. It provides a platform for the students to stay updated with present and future
technology.

ETA provides good opportunities to students in bringing out their talents related to writing,
editing while promoting the habit of research. The committee published two Newsletters this
year. The first newsletter was based on 'Neuro Technology', released in December 2020.
The second newsletter was based on 'Space Rover Technology', released in June 2021. It
gives the reader an insight of technical advances in the field of engineering. The Newsletters
were aimed to increase the awareness of latest technologies used in the industry in laymen
terms. To make it interesting, it also features facts, puzzles, riddles with short industry based
interviews.

Lastly, like every year ETA came up with PULSE 2021, which is an annual EXTC
Departmental Magazine published on the central theme as 'Cyber Security' published in May
2021. The Magazine highlighted the important aspects of Cyber Security such as why it is
necessary, how data is being misused, deep learning into Cyber Security and career
opportunities in cyber security. The magazine also provides additional insights in the form of
alumni interviews, departmental activities and much more. It is tailored to provide crisp
information altogether to the reader.

Alumni are the most valuable source for students to know and learn about how to prepare
themselves for their dream job. They share their work culture and their interview experiences
and help students. They are also a good source for suggestions regarding work, projects
and subjects. So, every year the ETA committee adds alumni interviews at the end of the
magazine. The ETA committee is indebted to its members and staff incharge. Our committee
members put forth all their efforts in making the committee a resounding success.
