Be sure that the handle is Jocked. To remove sunroot 1. While pushing the link of right and left side, pul the handle towards you and detach the handle fromm ts base. 2. Push up the back of the panel and remove it by pulling towards the rear. CAUTION ‘When removing the sunroof, make sure {hat the sunroof is not Intarfored with the body. Flomove the rear wiper blade and store itfor next use NOTE ‘After the wiper blade has been removed, reinstall the retainer cap and the attaching nut for next use.2. Remove the beck window defogger 4. Remove the window support handles (4 §, Remove the back window glass. {ground hamess attaching bot. points). Store the rear window glass in a sale place in order to avo'd any damage. NOTE After the hamess has been dlaconnected, reinstall the bolt to the ‘ack door for next use. 3, Disconnect the connector for the rear window defogger. at6. Remove the caps for the resin panel attaching bolts (10 points). Then remove the resin top panel attaching bolts (10 points). NOTE When removing the caps, use a cloth to avold any damage to the vehicle body. 212 7. Remove the attaching bolts on roll bar bracket. 8 Remove the resin top panel from the| vehicle. WARNING Do not remove or modity the roll bar. Removal or modification of the bar will result In reduced occupant protection In the event of an accident. Never drive the vehicie with the back window In place after the resin panel has been removed. Fallure to observe thie warning will cause back window glass breakage {and the rlak of personal injury.‘CAUTION Do not remove any parts such as the toof panel, side panel and weether strip ‘tc. from the resin top panel aasembly. Failure to observe this caution may ‘cause water leaking problem or damage. Yo instal! resin top panel Reverse the removal procedure to install the resin top panel WARNING Never drive vehicle with the back win- dow removed. Poleonous exhaust ‘gases can enter the vehicle. ‘CAUTION © Make eure that all the resin panel at- taching bolts tightened securely. Tightening Torque: 1.0-1.6 kgm (72-11.8 Hd, 9.8-15.7 Nm) ‘© Make aure that the back window at- taching bolts are tightened securely. Easy folding type soft top CAUTION © Do not run a soft top through ‘automatic car washes. ‘© Do not ramove the soft top when temperature is below °C (41°F). If you do 20, the soft top may be damaged, '* Do not remove the soft top when the windows are dirty because dirt and grit may scratch the window. * If temperature Is below freezing, do ‘not attempt to change the position of the soft top on the vehicte or roll the ‘soft windows. Aix the Velcro Fastener®s around the quarter windows. NOTE You can also fasten the upper zipper {from the inside of the vehicle. Be sure the zippers properly lined up before zipping the quarter window. Fallure to do 60 could damage the zipper. Be sure that the Velcro Fastener®s ‘are completely affixed. 21920. Install the rear window. Zip the rear window starting from the lower left hand side, 2-20 21. Insert the plastic strips at the bottom of the canvas and quarter windows into the retainers, NOTE For easier operation, hook the tip end of the plastic strip to the retainer. Then, Push down the plastic strip trom above 22.Insert the plastic strip at the bottom of the rear window into the rear retainer while pulling down the strap NOTE For easier operation, hook the tip end of the plastic strip to the retainer. Then, push down the plastic strip from above. 23.Aifix the Velcro Fastener®s on each side| of the rear window. NOTE Mako sure that the Velcro Fastent are completely attixed.24.Completely tighten the two handles for the front canvas bow. 25.Set the rear bow as shown inthe illustra tion, WARNING Enaure that the canvas le completely closed to prevent polsonous exhaust ‘gases trom entering the vehicle. To remove soft top with bows 1, Put the rear bow into the front position. 2. Release all the plastic strips from the retainers. 3. Remove the rear and quarter windows. 4, Detach the two handles for the front canvas bow and three screws al each side. 5. Delach the two straps from the rear 22‘Guorer Rearwindow To fold removed canvas 1. Fold the removed canvas and quarter windows as shown in the lusiration 2 Roll the rear window fram lower sic. NOTE For best storage, make sure that all soft windows are clean before storage. We recommend that you puta soft cloth between the| windows to protect the vinyl window. 2Easy folding type sott top folding } To remove rear window 1. Set the rear bow into the front position. 2. Separate the Velcro Fastener®* 3, Release the plastic strip from the rear retainer while puling down the strap. 4. Unzip the rear window starting from the lower right hand corner. To remove quarter windows 1. Separate the Velcro Fasteners 2. Release the plastic strips from the ‘elainers while pulling down the bottom of the canvas and quarter windows. 3.
