Below is the recipe for Kovakkai Saadham...

Ingredients needed:
Kovakkai - 10-12. (Cut it into long pieces)
Rice - 1 cup.
Sesame oil - 3 tablespoon.
Kadugu - 1 teaspoon.
Onion Big - 1. (Cut it into long thin pieces)
Curry leaves - 1 bunch.
Turmeric Powder - 1/4 teaspoon.
Chilli Powder - 1/4 tablespoon.
Coriander Powder - 1/2 tablespoon.
Salt - as required.

Procedure:
Soak rice in water for atleast 20 minutes.
Take a pressure cooker and keep it on medium flame and add oil, once it gets heated
add kadugu and let it splutter. Add
curry leaves, onion pieces and saute well.
Once onion turns transparent, add kovakkai and saute well.
Add Turmeric Powder, Chilli Powder and Coriander Powder and saute for 2 minutes.
Add 2 cups of water, rice (drain the water) and salt (i added 1 teaspoon).
Close the cooker, and cook till 3 whistles come. Take the cooker from heat. Let the
cooker settle for 5 minutes.

Kovakkai Saadham is ready. Serves 2 members.
