Cigarettes are dried tobacco that is rolled up and contains various chemicals.

Smoking is
burning tobacco which is then smoked, either by using a cigarette or using a pipe. Smoking is
a very common and widespread habit in society. Although it has been proven to cause various
pathological conditions, systemically and locally, smoking is very difficult to get rid of.
I agree that smoking is a bad habit because nicotine in cigarettes can cause addiction, both in
active smokers and passive smokers. Active and passive smokers are at risk of developing
cough with shortness of breath 6 times compared to nonsmokers. The addictive nature of
nicotine is evidenced by the gap between the number of smokers who want to quit smoking
and the number who successfully quit.
In addition, cigarettes contain substances that are harmful to health. It contains ammonia
which is very pungent and very stimulating. So strong is the poison in ammonia that if it is
injected even a little into the blood circulation it will cause a person to faint or coma. Carbon
monoxide in cigarettes is also very toxic, if this substance is carried in hemoglobin, it will
interfere with oxygen conditions in the blood
Those are the reasons why smoking is a bad habit. This smoking habit can be stopped by
being determined to quit smoking by throwing away all cigarettes owned and away from
places where people usually smoke. Try to keep us busy, exercise regularly, eat regularly and
replace it with chewing gum if there is a desire to smoke. That way, we will slowly get out of
the smoking habit.
