Dear Dr. McAlpin

My name is Connor Plumb and I’m a student at Aurora University. I am a Biology

Secondary Education major and am looking for opportunities to teach in the fall of
2022. Science has always been my favorite subject in school and teaching has always
been what I have felt lead to do. I went to Saint Charles East High school where I
played football and wrestled throughout high school. Coaching sports is always
something I have wanted to do. I also played rugby for seven years in the Saint
Charles rugby club as well as the Illinois State rugby club. My hobbies include
playing guitar and spending time with family and friends. I studied at Elgin
Community College where I obtained a associate of arts degree in fire science and
safety as well as an associates of science degree in Biology.

I am hard working individual who has been working towards a career in education
for the last four years. I couldn’t be happier to work in education. I have been
working as a server at various local restaurants while pursuing my career. I have
learned many social skills while working in restaurants as well as learning how to
adapt to certain individuals needs. I have learned various task management skills
and have developed a social and personable attitude.
