EVENT: SAVING REGGIE

P1:
Based on the novel that I have read, an event that motivates me to become
a better person is when Newton Newman saves Reggie from a suicide.
There are several reasons why the event motivates me to become a better
person.

Based on a novel that I have read, Captain Nobody written by Dean

Pitchford, there are many events that motivates me to become a better
person. But the event that motivates/inspires/aspires me to become a
better person the most is when CN saves RR from jumping off the Appleton
Water Tower. There are several reasons why the event
motivates/inspires/aspires me to become a better person

P2: motivates me to become more responsible

- When newton hears about the news that Reggie is going to commit
suicide from the top of the Appleton Tower, he goes to the Appleton
tower as soon as possible.
- Thinking about someone’s life is in his hand and he is the only one
who knows about the truth, he gathers all his might and climbs up the
rickety ladder which is six feet above from the ground.
- When he reaches to the top of the tower, he tells all about the truth to
Reggie
- He says that it is not Reggie who puts his brother, Chris into a coma
but it is Darryl Peeps.
- Reggie seems relieve after that.
- In my opinion, newt is doing a very good job by telling the truth to him
as if newt does not go to the Appleton tower and tells the truth, I am
pretty sure that Reggie is going to commit suicide for real and he is
going to die.
- In my real life, it really opens my eyes that telling the truth would give
a big difference on people’s life
P3: motivates me to trust myself
- As he is climbing up the rickety ladder to reach the top of the
Appleton tower, his mask fell down from his face.
- At the moment, his confidence level dropped, he hangs over in the
air, gripping the ladder tightly and thinking what he wants to do.
- He gathers all his might and climbs over the Appleton tower without
his costume
- In my opinion, if he does not trust on himself, I am pretty sure that he
will not be able to climb the tallest tower building there.
- In my real life,
- I would not jeopardize myself to help others to be honest. Instead, I
will the authorities to do their job, but based on this evidence, it really
has opened my eye that not all heroes are wearing capes.

P4: motivates me to become a helpful person

- Lastly, there is a part in this event where Reggie's shoe is stuck to the
rickety ladder
- Newton helps Reggie by untying his shoelaces so that Reggie can
remove his feet.
-When Reggie manages to remove his foot, they both went down the
ladder.
-In my opinion, if Newt is a selfish person, he would not help Reggie to
untie his shoe, instead he will just go straight to the ground without turning
back but in this event we know that newton is a very helpful person.
- I am truly inspired by how he loves to help those who are in need even
though it is only a small problem
P5: motivates me to become more forgiving

- Secondly, in this event, when newt sees Reggie, he immediately tells

reggie to not jump off the tower.
-That was when Reggie tells Newt that he is up there to paint the roof of the
Appleton Water Tower.
-Newt did not get mad at reggie instead he forgives reggie and tells reggie
the truth about the big tackle.
-In my opinion, newt is a strong person to forgive reggie just like that as he
has to climb up the tall Appleton Water Tower despite his fear of heights.
