Importance of Education

Proper education is an essential element that frames the quality of life for an

individual. Education is merely not limited to books but also determines an individual’s

manners, behavior, and perspective on life. Therefore an individual who stays devoid of a

proper education finds it tough to move forward in life.

Many consider life to be arduous that can be guided by the light of education. In the

most basic of things, a worthy education is needed today to secure a good job that aids in

navigating one’s expenses. Furthermore, several areas in the world require change, and to

bring about that change and make the world a better place, one needs to be educated enough

to understand how change can be brought and the effect that it can have on global citizens.

One such example can be provided of the Nobel Laureate Malala Yousafzai who

advocated for the rights of education for women and was infamously shot by the militant

group, the Taliban. The latter is known to enforce strict Islamic laws on their women and

restrict them from getting an education as well as depriving them of basic human rights.

However, Malala being an educated activist spoke against them and was struck with a bullet

on her head. She fatefully survived the attack and has been advocating for educational rights

for women ever since.

In summation, the short excerpt shows how vital education is in the modern world and

how an individual understanding its value and importance fought to achieve it as it proves to

be the basis of each one of our lives.

Public Schools and their Dress-Code Policy

A school is a place where kids are enrolled to ensure that they get a good and a

worthy education that aids them in sourcing their lives purpose. However, public schools do

not have a policy on school uniforms and this aspect greatly affects the educational capacity

of the students.

This can be attributed to the fact that having a proper uniform provides the students

with a sense of belonging towards the prestigious educational institution. Furthermore,

establishing a uniform is also instrumental towards curbing peer pressure to wear the best of

looks every day. It has been witnessed that in several institutions, students spend a majority

of their time deciding what to wear to school. If dress codes are to be established then it

would save the precious time of students from having to think about such aspects each day.

That time can easily be employed towards achieving something productive.

In addition to that, having a dress code can also prove to be economical towards the

parents as they would be saved from having to spend an obscene amount of money on

changing trends. It also saves the students from instances of bullying and peer pressure as if

each one of them has identical clothes then there would be no grounds of bullying in terms of

attire. Last but not the least, in a broader sense, having a dress code in public schools also

contributes towards environmental sustainability as the reduction in the demand for fast

fashion may curb its production to an extent.

In summation, several positive points can be taken into consideration by public

schools concerning the enforcement of dress codes. Doing so will ensure that schools retain

their identity of being truly education-oriented rather than being riddled by evolving trends of

fashion and looks.

A Moment to Remember

I have always been a dog-lover. I feel that a man can have several friends and well-

wishers in the due course of their life. However, it is commonly witnessed that such

friendships are guided by selfish demands and circumstances. Nonetheless, this stands false

for the friendship brought on by animals.

Dogs are known to be one of the most intelligent breeds of animals on earth.

Furthermore, their loyalties have been written into various concepts and have also been

strung into fables. Owing to these, those furry little creatures had carved a special place in my

heart. However, even after begging my parents to have one of those several times, I was

denied sternly stating that I was not suited to undertake such a responsibility.

I still remember the time when I was in fifth grade and cried for two days and refused

to eat food just because my mother did not allow me to have one of the puppies borne out of

our neighbors’ pup. That was truly heartbreaking for me as it was so close to me and yet I

could not have that little brown wonder. After much negotiations and discussions with the

elders of my family, we struck a deal where they allowed me to have a puppy provided that I

perform well in my academics and undertake total responsibility of the new member. After a

year of those, I performed exceedingly well in my studies and could finally have my furry

pet.

That was a day that has been etched in my mind forever as I became a proud pet

parent. Even after all these years Lucy, my Labrador wakes up with me, plays with me as

well as accompanies me during my exercise schedule. I have been so attached to her that I

positively cannot imagine not having her in my space and having those little paws on my

hand for the first day remains my best memory to date.
