My strategies for managing stress and well-being

Before I introduce my strategies for managing stress and well-being. I want to list three

situations when I get most stressed.

Every time I have to give a speech on stage, I always feel nervous and stressed. I am afraid

of making a mistake in front of all audiences. In this situation , I have to adjust my breath

repeatedly to calm myself down. Sometimes, I even walk back and forth to reduce my stress.

When I can’t finish the assignment on time due to procrastination, I always feel pressure

from catching up on homework. Sometimes, in order to finish the homework, I even forget the

quality of the homework. This kind of behavior is bad for our study and development. In the

end, I still got a zero on this assignment because I missed the deadline.

When an exam is coming, but I am not well prepared for it, I will feel more pressure.

Worried about getting a lower grade on the exam, sometimes I will turn over the book without

any clue, which is not helpful for me, and I still got a lower grade in the exam.

How can I handle the situation? Firstly, participate in more speech activities, exercise me,

to reduce the tension and pressure of public speaking. Besides, it is a good choice to make a

schedule, which is a great way to reduce procrastination. Finally, we should review and

preview in a planned way every day to reduce the pressure and burden before the exam.
