Academic integrity in academic context the academic context

We face all kinds of problems in our life. As a freshman, we also face academic problems,

such as problems of academic integrity.

When we are studying and writing, it is very important t observe academic integrity. If we

violate academic integrity and plagiarize other people’s work, this behavior will have a serious

impact on our studies and get a lower score. At the same time, WKU will issue written

warnings to students who violate academic integrity, and those who violate academic integrity

may be suspended from school. From the above information, it can be concluded that academic

integrity is very important in the academic context.

From a longer-term perspective, academic integrity is not only limited to plagiarism, but

also linked to issues such as intellectual property rights (IPR) and so on. If you plagiarize

someone else’s work, it not only violates academic integrity, but also violates the IPR of others.

At the same time, it sends pirated copies to the market, violating social norms of fairness and

justice, and is a manifestation of disrespect for other people’s works.

As for academic integrity, it’s not just the issue of citation and references. In my opinion,

Academic integrity also reflects our respect for the original author and his works and reflects

our fair and just ethical concept. While respecting the original author, we also continue to

accumulate knowledge and experience for ourselves which will contribute to our future studies.
