 Designed and taught a civil liberties/civil rights unit which aligned to common core standards and
aimed at creating awareness of larger community and social issues. 
 Utilized classroom laptops to integrate technology as a mind tool and resource in class
lessons/activities. 
 Planned and executed lessons involving 21st century skills and cooperative learning structures in
Government, US History, and AP Geography for juniors, and seniors.

 Utilized Authentic Intellectual Work (AIW), which focuses on student construction of


knowledge, conceptual understanding, and elaborated communication through student, centered
