 Designed and taught a civil liberties/civil rights unit which aligned to common core standards and
aimed at creating awareness of larger community and social issues. 
 Utilized classroom laptops to integrate technology as a mind tool and resource in class
lessons/activities. 
 Planned and executed lessons involving 21st century skills and cooperative learning structures in
Government, US History, and AP Geography for juniors, and seniors.
Student Teaching—Eleanor Roosevelt Middle School, Dubuque, IA, August 2021-October 2021. 

 Utilized Authentic Intellectual Work (AIW), which focuses on student construction of

knowledge, conceptual understanding, and elaborated communication through student, centered
activities. 
 Implemented behavior management strategies to identify and improve on task behaviors in the
