Project Name: Music In You-Create a set of fake lyrics and chords based on a real song. Lyrics

should be switched to talk about a school subject.

What I Learned: During this lesson, I learned how to create a way to teach that is useful for

students who perhaps need to learn via music, or other learning styles. Also, I took the Multiple

Intelligences test, which revealed that I am quite musical, linguistic, and have a good sense of

self. I do believe that this does accurately describe my intelligence style, as I do try to focus a lot

on my inner self.

ISTE Standard Addressed:2.2 Leader: Educators seek out opportunities for leadership to support

student empowerment and success and to improve teaching and learning.

Application of Skills Learned For The Future: While I may not directly use the skills in this

lesson, I do think that it is incredibly important to recognize the variety of learning styles you

will encounter as an educator and how to accommodate these needs. I did learn how to take a

piece of pop culture and alter it to be used in an education setting. I think that, based on what I

scored, that I can use aspects such as “reading a story with great emotion…. Read together,

discuss what you read, journal writing, inner contemplation” in the classroom with my students,
as I do believe that everyone could benefit from these practices. I did not realize how musical my

intelligence was, and I am considering various ways in which I could use this to my student’s

advantage.
