Coronavirus and it’s effect on our Environment

Covid-19 as we all know, appeared to be an uninvited and unwanted guest to

the whole world.
In a matter of months, the world has been brought to a standstill due to a
coronavirus that appeared on December, the previous year. Economies have
been brought to their knees and our daily lives have been changed in a manner
that we did not see coming. For all of us, being confined inside our homes 24/7
has become the new normal.

This small strand of virus which weighs not more than a gram has caused a
global pandemic resulting in consequences very familiar to that of an
emergency to all the countries affected by it.
Humans are social creatures, but in order to restrain the spread of the
contagion, social distancing has perhaps made the life we lived just two
months ago to be held of great value.
Some of the effects that it has had on both human life and environment
including nature has been oblivious.
Places that were crowded before lie empty. Decisions that were made to curb
the spread of the virus like lockdowns and social distancing measures have not
only been effective in reducing the number of people infected, but have also
resulted in clearer skies and cleaner air. The closure of industries that
contribute to carbon emissions has resulted in an unforeseen drop in levels of
the same around the world.
If looked at closely then the recovery was in of dire need but it's the worst
possible way to experience environment restoration but it has also shown us
the size of the task.
It also questions the fact that the normalcy to have been conceived previously,
was merely an adaptation of the result of evolution that happens in due course
of nature and the nature has its own methodology to navigate through this
process which in fact suggests that change is the only constant.
And that there is always uncertainty in certainties of the life, that we all are
given.
