 Ideate – this is simply where we come up Students require
with our ideas. We typically create a Visual diary and
concept or mood board and write our writing/drawing
concept down implements
 Prototype – create and test your design
concepts

 Select – decide upon which design concept
is best and then develop that design
 Implement – this is the build phase of the
design process
 Learn – reflection – what did we learn from
this. What did you do well, what can you do
better?

Ask students if they have any questions about Did you have any questions about the design 5 mins

control measures You need to be sitting at a table with good light and a chair in the correct position.
Do not put needles or pins in your mouth, or pinned to your cloths. You must use a pin cushion.
Scissors should always be in the closed position, when not in use.
When you are finished with the needles place them back in the packet they came from, this will help in the future to know what the
needle is, as there are many different types of needles.
Always stow your sewing tools in a sewing kit, to keep the safe and away from children or pets.
