The pie charts illustrate the spending of a local government

in the years 2010 and 2015.


Overall, in both years of 2010 and 2015, the majority of
government spending were on the four sectors of
education, healthcare, pensions and defence.
At the beginning of the given period, spending on
education made up the highest segment of the budget,
accounting for 24%, while healthcare came in second at
21%. Moreover, the government also spent 19% and 17%
of their budget on pension and defence respectively.
Significantly small amount of money was spent on culture
and leisure, transport, and unspecified category, which, in
total, accounted for only 6% of the budget.
By the end of the given period, education maintained its
position as the most funded category despite a small cut of
3% in funding. Likewise, each sector of healthcare and
defense also experienced a drop to 20% and 14%
respectively. Meanwhile, no change occurred regarding
pensions’ funding. Welfare and interest on borrowing were
the only two category that received more money compared
to 2010, with each sector gaining 5% more of total
expenditure.
