Reflection

In this Technical Writing Course, I never thought I was going to learn this much. At first,
I thought it was easy, but each time I took a class I realized it required a lot of dedication. As a
Biology student, we have a lot of academic load and throughout the academic semester it is not a
surprise to say that it has been full of challenging situations that have compromised not only me,
but other students’ academic performance. However, I was able to learn how to write
professionally, the ABC format and how to apply it to different technical documents. An example
of technical documents are the Minutes, these are very important for meetings. Before this course,
I did not know what a minute was, but now I know what is important for each meeting. In addition,
I learned a lot about how to make a cover letter and a resume that I know will be very useful when
I apply for a job. Although I am not very good at English in this course, I could see the importance
and I hope to continue improving my writing. This course has and will help me a lot for my current
and future plans. As professionals, this course is very important, and I know that when it comes to
applying to Medical School this course and the conferences that Professor Pier LeCompte has
given, will help me a lot. I thank you for all the effort and for all that you taught us. Without a
doubt I can say that I learned a lot thanks to you.
