 You’re on your way!
Have you ever used a GPS to navigate? Have you ever thought that
the GPS got the directions wrong because the recommended course
seemed to take you farther away from your destination?

All along your walk with God, it’s possible that you’ll be confronted with
this type of situation. God shows you a destination and asks you to trust
Him about the path to follow.

But sometimes, the proposed itinerary is a bit disconcerting. It may

include wounds, betrayals, sicknesses, setbacks... All of us know this
can happen.

In these times, you can count on the Holy Spirit to reassure you, speak to
you, and comfort you.

Believe it, my friend... you’re on your way toward a destination much

bigger than anything you can imagine!

Follow the best of GPS’s—the Lord! By the way, I like to say with a smile that
GPS means “God’s Perfect Sight”...He knows where He’s going!

 Strengthen your faith
“I have written to you, young men, because you are strong, and the word of
God abides in you, and you have overcome the wicked one.”  (1 John 2:14)

Your body needs exercise. Physical exercise is useful.

But your faith needs exercise too. Exercising faith is also useful!

How do you exercise and strengthen your faith? This list is not all-inclusive,
but here are several ideas that could help you…
• Being aware of your identity. You are a child of God!
• Affirming your confidence in God.
• Singing praises to the Lord.
• Having fellowship with other brothers and sisters in Christ.
• Listening to a good sermon.
• Meditating on the Word of God.
• Declaring the Word of God out loud.
• Allowing the Holy Spirit to speak to you and guide you.
• Sharing your faith with others around you.
• Proclaiming His mercy in your life.

 The more you affirm your trust in God, the readier you are to face a tough
day, a new battle, or a trial!

When the giant Goliath appears and threatens you, like David, you can
push him back and conquer him in the name of the God of the armies of
Israel. The Bible tells us that David had trained with bears and lions...
 (see 1 Samuel 17:34) and the day the giant came, David was victorious
over him!

 My friend, what might happen if you began

strengthening your faith even more?

 The trial is an accelerator
“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the
rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you
shall not be burned, nor shall the flame scorch you.”  (Isaiah 43:2)

As a natural element, fire is generally perceived as a threat with great

destructive potential. Yet, fire helps spread the seeds of certain trees
such as pines. When affected by a fire’s extreme heat, the previously
dormant seeds are activated and released into the atmosphere.

My friend, the Lord understands what you are going through. He is not
insensitive to your pain and sorrow. However, He knows what “heat” to
apply to your life so that fruit may be released.

Here is the good news for God’s children:

• The fire of the trial is not destroying you...it is refining you.
• Difficulties don’t stop you...they press you into the presence of God.
• Opposition is not a brake...it is a springboard that the Lord uses to
raise you up to a new level.

 My friend, you are not alone. God is here. He will not allow the fire of the
trial to destroy you. He will not allow you to be tested beyond your
strength. You will not be destroyed. You are filled with a spirit of strength,
courage, and power.

Today, your view of the trial you are experiencing is changing. You are not
walking toward destruction...
 you are walking into the extraordinary divine!

 Does your life
seem wilted?
“Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands
in the path of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful; but his delight
[pleasure] is in the law of the Lord, and in His law he meditates day and
night. He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth
its fruit in its season, whose leaf also shall not wither; and whatever he does
shall prosper.”  (The Bible, Psalm 1:1-3)

We have a type of salvia planted at our house called a “drop of blood.” It’s
a beautiful plant with lovely red flowers. Sometimes its leaves wilt, and
you know it needs water!

In just a few hours after watering it, the salvia’s leaves regain their
original texture, the stems perk up, life returns, and new buds soon start
forming.

Here are some things that made my spiritual life wilt in the past…
• Negative words...that I allowed to take hold of and define me instead
of the words of God.
• Lack of an intimate relationship with God... when I was too busy to pray.
• Bad choices... when I made decisions without asking the Lord.
• Disobeying God... when I succumbed to temptation and grieved the
Holy Spirit. Pornography was a problem in my life.
• Quarrels and divisions in the church... that created wounds and
deeply discouraged me.
• My uncontrolled reactions... that did not bring peace.

There’s good news... you don’t have to stay wilted! There is a solution,
and it is not guilt. There’s a hope and a future. A “drop of blood” from
Jesus and all is erased, renewed, and given new life!

Pray with me: “Jesus, thank You for the power of Your blood. Forgive me for
the things that I’ve allowed to come between us, these things that have
caused my spiritual life to wilt. I turn from them, I accept Your forgiveness,
and I rely on Your grace to walk into the great future You have for me!
In Your Name, amen.”

 Don’t let yourself
be intimidated!
The Bible says that the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking
whom he may devour.  (1 Peter 5:8) The enemy’s goal is to paralyze
you. Fear is one of his favorite weapons. This is what we have to
understand about this verse! Frozen there, paralyzed by fear, the victim
can no longer move and the lion will spring and devour.

But there’s good news! “Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he
will flee from you.”  (The Bible, James 4:7)

To submit yourself to God means to say to Him, “I am Your child, I depend

on You, my life is in Your hands, You are with me.” It’s recognizing His
almightiness, His majesty, and His grandeur. It’s confessing that He is
your very present help in trouble!

Resisting the devil means to command, “Get behind me, Satan! You have
no part in my life. You have no power over me because I belong to God.
God is my Father. You are the accuser of the brethren, and that’s all that
you know how to do...accuse. But who shall accuse God’s elect? It is God
who justifies!”  (The Bible, Romans 8:33)

 Amen! Speak this out, my friend! God promises that the devil will flee
from you. As the darkness cannot stand the light, the devil cannot stand
the joyful faith of God’s children.

 Have confidence in God, don’t let yourself

be intimidated, and you will have the victory!

 Here is the miracle
of the Holy Spirit!
I love the feast of Pentecost  (read the text in the Bible).

On this day, several miracles took place, miracles that God also
desires to accomplish in your life!
• The Holy Spirit came according to Jesus’s promise  (see Acts 1:8)
He always keeps His promises. Persevere in trusting God’s promises
because they will come to pass! If the promise tarries, it will surely
come, the Bible says.  (see Habakkuk 2:3)
• A violent wind was heard, and it filled the house where they were
gathered together. The wind of the Spirit is blowing on your life today!
• Tongues of fire touched down upon each of the disciples. I believe
that the Holy Spirit is lighting a new fire in your life!
• They were all filled with the Holy Spirit. Because you are a child of
God, His Spirit already lives in you. But He also desires to fill you and
make you overflow. The promise is for you, my friend!
• They spoke in languages that they didn’t know. The Spirit can give
you the gift of speaking in new tongues and you will accomplish
things that you’ve never done before!
• Peter preached the Gospel with great boldness. The Spirit gives you
boldness to be His witness!  (see Acts 1:8) God has not given us
a spirit of fear.  (see 2 Timothy 1:7)

 • People understood the message. They heard the wonderful works of
God in their own language! God desires to use your life to make the
marvelous message of the Gospel understandable to those around you.
• 3,000 people were baptized that day. Yes, by the power of the Holy
Spirit acting in you, God can do with your life exceedingly abundantly
above all you can ask or think!  (see Ephesians 3:20)

 Today, the miracle of Pentecost is for you,

my friend!

I invite you to pray with me: “Holy Spirit, I sense Your wind blowing on my
life today. I want to overflow with You! I desire all of the good gifts You want
to give me. I ask You to baptize me with Your Spirit... I ask for the gift of
speaking in tongues today! Thank You for increasing my boldness in
proclaiming Your Word. I invite You to do in my life exceedingly abundantly
above all I can ask or think! In Jesus’s Name, amen.”

 Your inheritance is peace
God desired your existence and fashioned you with love. And why?
Certainly not for you to live a life of stress and permanent worry!
Yet, each day you are confronted with all sorts of situations... such as
managing your house, professional responsibilities, a disagreement
with a friend, a lack of money, and so many other things that can
steal your peace.

So, how do you fully possess your divine inheritance every day? How do
you enjoy this peace that God desires to give you?

By trusting Him. By abandoning yourself completely in His arms.

By choosing to believe that…
• His Word is true
• He loves you personally
• He’s taking care of you

My friend, where is the hidden place in your life to which God is still
waiting for complete access? The Lord is considerate. He is the
incarnation of perfect love. He will never force the door open.

 But if you invite Him, He will come in. He will make His home within you;
 His love and His peace will flow like a river
each day.

Pray with me: “Lord, I desire to possess my inheritance...I want Your peace
to flow like a river in my life. I choose to believe that Your Word is true, that
You love me personally, and that You’re taking care of me. I open every
place in my heart to You right now. In quietness and trust is my strength
 (Isaiah 30:15) ...I trust You and release all my stress to You. In Jesus’s
Name, amen.”

 God knows
“The hand of the Lord came upon me and brought me out in the Spirit of the
Lord, and set me down in the midst of the valley; and it was full of bones.
Then He caused me to pass by them all around, and behold, there were very
many in the open valley; and indeed they were very dry. And He said to me,
‘Son of man, can these bones live?’ So I answered, ‘O Lord God, You know.’”
 (Ezekiel 37:1-3)

Maybe right now you’re crossing a valley of death and sadness, a

desert of solitude, misery, dry bones. Maybe you’re thinking, “It’s
dead, it’s dry, there’s no life here!”

In this passage, God asks Ezekiel a question: “Can these bones live?” In
the same way, He’s asking you today, “Do you believe that these bones
can live again? That I can do a miracle?”

When God asks this type of question, He already knows the answer. Like
Ezekiel, you’re invited to respond, “Lord, You know!” God knows that
you’re crossing a valley of sadness.

 In the natural, we are limited, our view is limited, our understanding is
limited... everything is limited with us! But God is not uninvolved in your
situation. The news may be bad, the verdict fatalistic, the diagnosis
frightening, but God knows your situation perfectly. He knows your
desert, your loneliness, your dryness. If it seems to you that there is no
 there is a hope, a future, a divine
hope, let me tell you...
plan that surpasses your understanding!

Declare this about your situation: “Lord, You know. Thank You that Your
view of my situation is full of blessings, miracles, and hope. I trust You!”

 Praise the Almighty
God at all times
I have learned to praise God and thank Him at all times, whether the
sky is blue or gray...whether I’m in a good or bad season... and do you
know why? Praising God is an amazing way to be encouraged and
lifted up. In the middle of tumult and agitation, trials and the
numerous difficulties of your life, in your desert, your joy, your pain,
in every circumstance, don’t forget to praise God.

 Psalm 113:3 declares, “From the rising of the sun to its going down the
Lord’s name is to be praised.”

My friend, in every circumstance, praise and glorify the Lord!

Be filled with gratitude and tell Him “thank You!” for everything He has
done in your life and all that He’ll continue to do in the future.

 Hebrews 13:15 tells us…“Therefore by Him let us continually offer

the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks
to His name.”

 In every circumstance, thank the Lord.

  Psalm 9:2 says, “I will be glad and rejoice in You; I will sing praise to Your
name, O Most High.”

Even when everything seems difficult, find opportunities to praise God.

This is the secret of a heart that is vibrant and alive for Him! This is what
