And behold, a certain lawyer got up to test him

saying Master, “what must I do to gain eternal

life?” but He said to him, saying "What does the
law say? " What have you read so far?” and he
answered and said the law say you should love
the Lord your God with all your heart, with all
your soul, with all your strength and with your
whole mind and also love your neighbor as you
love yourself and Jesus said to him. "You have
answered correctly then do it and you shall live
forevermore but the lawyer wishing to justify
himself, and said to Jesus and "who is my
neighbor?".
Jesus answered him saying, " A certain man
was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, on
the way, he was attacked by robbers, who
actor both stripping him and beating him went
their way leaving him half dead by the dirt
road. A certain priests happened to be going
down the same way, and though he saw him,
he just walked passed by him. Likewise a
Levite who was near the place saw him and
also passed by him.
Then a certain Samaritan bound on journey
also came upon him, and seeing him was
moved with compassion. He went up to him
and to bid his wounds as he poured on oil
and wine. Then setting him on his own best,
he carried him to a nearby in and took care
of him for the night.
The next day he took out two denarii and give
them to the innkeeper and told him “Take good
care of him for me and whatever more you
spend on him I will repay you on my return
here.”
Which of these three, in your opinion, program
statue neighbor to him who fell victim to the
robbers ? And the lawyer answered he who
took pity on him, and Jesus said to him go and
do also in like manner.
The moral of the story is that you should
put aside your differences and help
those who are in need of help. The
Samaritan did not think about the race
or the religion of the man; he just saw a
man who needed help.
But Jesus also spoke a parable to those invited
upon observing how they were choosing the first
places a table, saying " When you are invited to a
wedding feast, do not decline in the first seats,
otherwise when perhaps one more distinguish then
you have been invited by the host, and who
invited you and him will come and say to you, "
Make room for this man! " You should find yourself
in most embarrassing situation to take the last seat.
Thus, when you are invited, go and recline in the
last seats so that when the host who invited you
comes in, and He says to you, Friend come join
me in this reserved seats, Then will you be
honored in the presence and all who are in the
table with you. For everyone who exalts himself
shall be humbled, and he who humbles himself
shall be exalted.
Parable of the Last seat
The moral lesson in this parable is that we
need to be humble in every situation we
encounter. If you are invited in the event do
not seat directly in the front but instead be
humble and sit in the edge or in the end.
Always think that there are always higher
people than you and all you need to do is to be
humble and stay low key. Sometimes the
person who is humble and stay always in
behind are the one who is blessed and gifted.
And he said, a certain man who had two sons.
One day, the younger of them came to his father
saying “father please give me my share of the
inheritance." Without further words he proceeded
to divide his property between them". A few days
later, the younger son gathered up all his wealth
and went on his journey into a far away country.
Soon, he squandered of his wealth and began
to suffer in want. He went down to the country
and met a man who employed him to work in
his farm feedings while he was so hungry he
even long to kill himself with a punch the swine
were eating but no one offered to give them to
him.
Then, he started thinking to himself
saying think of it there are many
hardman in my father's house who
have bread and abundance while
I am perishing hair with hunger. I
will get up and go to my father's
house and will say to him Father, I
have sinned against heaven and
before you. I am no longer worthy
to be called your son take me as
one of the hired man and he arose
and went to his father.
He was yet a long way of when his father saw
him. The old one was moved with compassion
here and to meet him and even fell on his neck
to kiss him. The son said to him "Father I have
sinned against heaven and before you I am no
longer worth it to be called your son.
Nonetheless, the Father pulled out his servants,
saying, "Fetch me what the best robe and put it on
him and give him a ring for his finger and sandal
for his feet. Also bring me bring out the fattened
calf and kill it, and let us eat and make marry
because this son of mine was dead, and come to
life again he was lost and is now found. And they
began to merry. At the time his elder son was
returning from work in the field. And as he came
and drew closer to the house, he heard music and
dancing. He called out one of the servants and
inquired what the examined was all about. The
servant told him saying your brother has come
back
to welcome him their father had fattenedcalf
killed for a place to celebrate this safe return.
At the time his elder son was returning from
work in the field. When he heard this he was
very angry to refuse to go in. When he learned
the older son would not enter the house, the
father came out on his own and began to
increase him.
Feeling cheated, he answered his father saying
“Look I have serve you all this years, and in all this
years I never transgressed any of your
commands, and yet you have never let me have
a kid brother but I could bring along to have
merry you with my friends. But when this son of
yours came back after squandering all his wealth
on harlots you even kill the fattened calf to
welcome him back.”
But he said to him, “ Son, you are always with me
and all that is mine is yours, but today we should
celebrate, be merry and rejoice, for this brother of
yours was dead, and has come to life you was lost
and is found.”
The moral lesson of
the prodigal son, is that
God is ready to receive
sinners who come to
Him in repentant faith.
The Parable of the Talents for this is like a man
going abroad who called his servants and handed
over his goods to them. And to one he gave five
talents, to another two and to another one, to each
according to his particular ability and then he went
on his journey.
And he who had received the five talents went
and traded with them and gained five more. In
like manner he had received the two gained two
more. But he who had received the one went
away and dug in the earth and hid his masters
money.
Then after a long time the master of the servants came and
settled accounts with them. And he who had received the
five talents came and brought five other talents saying
“Master you did hand over to me five talents, behold I
have gained five others in addition.”
His master said to him “Well done good and faithful
servant because you have been faithful over a few things I
will set you over may enter into the joy of your master”.
And he also who had received the two talents
came and said “Master you did hand over to
me two talents, behold I have gained two more
his master said to him.
“Well done good and faithful servant because
you have been faithful over a few things I will set
you over may enter into the joy of your master.”
But he who had received the one talent came and
said. Master I know that you are a stern man your
ripped where you have not sowed and gathered
where you have not winnowed and I was afraid I
went away and hid your talent in the earth, behold
you have what is thine. But his master answered
and said to him.“You wicked and slothful servant
you did know that I ripped what I did not sow and
gather what I have not winnowed you should
therefore have entrusted your money to the
bankers and on my return I should have got back
my own with interest.
Take away therefore the talent from him,
and give it to him who has 10 talents . For
everyone who shall be given and shall have
abundance but from him who does not have,
even that which he seems to have shall be
taken away. But as for the unprofitable
servant, cast him forth into the darkness
outside, where there will be weeping and
gnashing of teeth.
Parable of the Talents
The moral lesson if this parable is that
use your given talent as a tool for
success. Put more effort in doing
things rather than hiding what you
really can.
