1. What is the best way to manage conflicts based on cultural differences in the Philippines?

The Philippines is a diverse nation and the rules and policies are focused on the country as a
whole and not on the values of each society, and this is unsuccessful. Cultural conflicts exist
when people see other cultures as their own in which is not an appropriate actions for each
cultures are different, they have different behavior, beliefs, and convictions. To be affiliated
with laws and rules is the best way to handle tensions resulting from cultural difference
which meet the values and beliefs of every culture, and federalism may do this in a single
area with homogeneous community with no ethnic variation almost any time. Through this,
the government will mitigate cultural diversity and thereby satisfy people's desires and
expectations, as well as their cultural values. A good solution to this issue is the new
government that the Duterte Administration tries to introduce, because people want their
people to rule them with their cultures and values. To embrace that form of government, I see
the Philippines as a promising future, we will prosper, both domestically and globally, with
the diversity and solidarity that we display.

2. Are you in favor of the move of President Duterte’s administration to replace the unitary
with a federal form of government? Why?

Yes, I agree to this course of action because the finances of our nation are focused on money.
Manila gets the largest amount of funds and money, while deprived areas do not have as
much access to services which is of the biggest concerns in a unitary government. Through
federalism, the same legislative authority and acts from the government are given to all
regions and provinces of the Philippines that are much quicker and effective than the unitary
government. The proposals created would blend with each region's cultural and social
distinctions, which would make citizens more unanimous and will minimize tensions.
Federalism therefore increases voters' interest, because they know the policies and politics
that they vote and elect, meaning that people have an equitable ability to choose better
governments. With the people's right to select who their society would be ruled, coordination
with the government would improve, and it would become apparent to perfect the rules and
policies to successfully rule a State. Unlike today where the government and people are not in
good shape, the authorities are also losing the trust of the people because the actions of the
government do not please them.
