Fire is catastrophic and we must be careful because a house fire in just two minutes can

become a life-threatening tragedy. As there are still measures to be taken to successfully stop
the outbreaks of cases of a fire emergency in order to deter a deteriorating situation,
awareness of what to do in fire situations can save lives and avoid chaos.
Once the smoke or fire alarm is detected, the next move is to automatically evacuate
everyone by using the emergency exit. When the fire or smoke still blocks the main exit
(doors), a secondary exit (windows) is assigned that is further from the primary exit. Do not
stop looking for the right escape path just to find only valuables from a burning home. In a
house fire, you can even use a shirt or a wet towel to keep smoke from entering your lungs.
Also don't sprint into a room full of smoke or fires, in where you might face huge dangers;
lock the door behind you until you've crawled out of the room instead. Research has shown
that shutting doors do not allow the fire to spread, which essentially ensures the fire is
confined to a place for a time.
Following the evacuation of people is calling a fire department. When calling a fire service
provider, make sure that the name, the address, the route closest to your fire occurrence, and
the type of the occurrence are indicated. This enables them to determine how the situation
should be addressed. And don't ever hang up until the operator has written all the information
down. During the evacuation, the majority of the family members gather in a designated area
(meeting area) and stay there until everybody is saved in the household. This is intended to
discourage firemen from finding people who are already out of the fire.
