Similarities of Linear and Interactive Model

5. Both of their senders carry the conversation

Differences (Linear Model)

1. The linear model focused on how a message was transmitted and whether or not it was received.

2. The linear communication model is a straight line of communication, leading from the sender directly
to the receiver

Differences (Interactive Model)

3. The interactive model suggests that participants alternate positions as sender and receiver

4. The interactive model is more concerned with the communication process itself.
Similarities of Linear and Transactional Model

5. Linear is very basic, whereas, transactional builds upon it and both of these models involves
communication between the Sender and the Receiver.

Differences (Linear Model)

1. Linear is the primary communication model

2. Linear model involves only one way communication that is messages are sent and the receiver only
recieves.it is one dimensional.

Differences (Transactional Model)

3. Transactional model is formed based on the linear model

4. Where as in transactional model besides sending messages and giving a feedback we also have non-
verbal messages.
