The student can't focus on his/her studies when they're mentally unstable.
Especially right now that we
are in the new system or new normal where all of us are using online platforms, students are still adjusting in their environment and way of learning, Because of the things that is happening now, a lot of people feel overwhelm that may causes stress and feeling unmotivated. If we prioritize mental health not only for the students but for the faculty and other staffs of the school, it might create a huge positive impact on our lives. According to Kentucky counseling center, it's better to have a physical learning because during the school day, students in a standard classroom structure obey a set of rules. When it's time to get up, go to school, go to class, complete homework, eat lunch, and participate in extracurricular activities. With online learning, it is never the same. It's difficult to stay focused in online classes. Students were unable to concentrate adequately in class due to a lack of separation between home and school life, a lack of adherence to a scheduled schedule, and distractions at home. As a result, students procrastinate and put things off, and deadlines are missed as a result. Students experience pressure, stress, and anxiety as a result of this. Students, parents, and even teachers' mental health are affected by online education. It is possible that it will worsen for people who already have mental health issues. Consider what it would be like for a child to spend hours each day in front of Zoom without any social connection or recreation with their peers. Parents are becoming increasingly active in their children's homework and acting like teachers. Teachers and professors are working longer hours and are under pressure to give high-quality instruction without having to attend face-to-face classes.
