Conducting a systematic investigation is like creating new knowledge.

Research
makes us discover the limits of the possible by going beyond them into the impossible.
We won’t be able to gain discoveries and skills if we don’t seek something more.

I consider research in a good way. Now that we are living in an advanced

generation, research has a significant role in our life. It’s not only leading to the
expansion of knowledge but also bring significance on our way to the future. Through
research, projections of upcoming calamities, global warming, climate change and other
future events have been determined. It also improves the standard of living. Only
through research can new inventions and other discoveries come into life. Research
reveals truth as well. Listening to different opinions and studying facts and available
data will lead you to unravel the truth.

The personal characteristics that I have are being open-minded as we deal with
ever-changing problems, so you have to be open to tackling these new challenges and
being an encouraging person. You need to encourage differing points of view or people
challenging ideas so you don’t go in with a preconceived notion of how you want your
research to come out, but you’re willing to look for the truth and see where the truth is.
Moreover, one important thing is I have a characteristic that is willing to push forward.
We’re solving complex problems. Sometimes the solutions that we come with don’t
work, and so when that happens, you have to be willing to try another solution.
Furthermore, research has made great discoveries in development in the field of health,
like technology, nutrition, and medicine. These things have improved life expectancy
and help in curing a lot of diseases.

The importance of research in the nursing discipline is that it provides nurses

with the power to be professional and helps develop, define, and refine nursing
knowledge. Research also provides evidence for best practice. We need a definitive trial
to know whether an intervention works and what is the best option for our patients.
Evidence-based practice not only focuses on nursing interventions but all nursing
activities encompassing care.
