Beach Village In Sri Lanka

Coming from Colombo you will pass Galle and many important beaches. Leaving aside
your expectations of a typical bohemian beach town, bile is a Sri Lankan luxury.
Tangalle is one of the largest beach towns in southern Sri Lanka and can easily be
added to most routes.

The next stop on the coast is the beautiful Bentota, one of the best beaches in Sri
Lanka. Encapsulated in a beach on a small teardrop-shaped island, Sri Lanka offers
sandy beaches for all types of travelers.

Compared to the crowded shores of Goa, India, Sri Lanka's small teardrop-shaped
island in the north, the beaches here are much more peaceful. Many of the best
beaches on the southwest coast where you can enjoy blue water, snorkeling, surfing,
waves and migratory whales.

Staying close to the beach is the best way to experience it. In Boossa you have to
stay in beach huts or cabins. If you prefer to relax on the beaches or visit
historical sites, stay on the coast a few kilometers from Galle Matara.

If you can break free from the jungle, the beach overlooks one of the best beaches
in Sri Lanka and offers excellent snorkelling, calm sea and a natural harbour.
Beach huts and roadside boossas are available in various designs to meet the needs
of backpackers, families and holidaymakers.

The city itself is small, with a variety of surf shops, a spa, murals and a
coworking cafe, but the beach is one of the best in the world. North of Kalutara,
one of the largest cities on the west coast, the long and wide beach houses the
high value of Tangerine Beach, where you can walk for miles past traditional
fishing boats docking on the coast, resort restaurants and private villas. The
beaches of Hikkaduwa and Narigama stretch along the busy bile road.

Tiny Hiriketiya and bustling Dickwella Beach can be reached within a 30-minute walk
or a 7-minute tuk-tuk ride west. As you can see, the beach is about five minutes
away from HiriKetiya. As one of the bays, it is long and crowded, but it lacks the
charm that draws you to the village.

The beach is perfect for body surfing, as the waves flow in at a gentle pace and
are not huge and glide along the shore in fun waters. If you want 100% surf, I
suggest staying at Arungan Bay, but if you like history, nightlife, gala work and
relaxing beach time, I would recommend Pasikuda Beach for fabulous day excursions
to the sea or Sigiriya for elephant safaris. You can spend the afternoon visiting
the Galle Fortress before heading to a local beach in Unawatuna Bay to relax.

Hambantota is not only one of the best beaches in Sri Lanka but the spectacular
Shangri-Las Hambantota Golf Resort Hotel is also worth visiting. Unawatuna is an
ideal starting point for several famous southern beaches in the country, especially
the beaches of Wijaya and Dalawella. This small beach town in Dikwella Bay has
become one of those new and cool beaches to visit on Sri Lanka's itinerary.

Book a stay in one of the best boutique hotels in Kandy for a more luxurious
experience. If you only have 1-2 days off, I would suggest extending your stay in
Colombo to days 11-12 to relax on the beach at Mt Lavinia or stay in a city centre
hotel with a large pool and rooftop terrace.

Nevertheless, Colombo has some interesting sights and is a decent beach town. The
southern beaches of Sri Lankan cities are easily accessible by bus from Colombo.
This small beach town in Dikwella Bay is all about the surf and is simply the best
surf town in Sri Lanka.
Pasikuda and Kalkudah are two beautiful beaches on the east coast in the center of
the northern part of the city. Mirissa is the closest beach to the city centre, so
make sure the walk from your accommodation is short. If you're beach-hopping on the
south coast, this is one of the must-see beaches.

Hikkaduwa is known for being one of the original beach towns in Sri Lanka and there
is a slight feeling that in the past it was a hippie hangout. Many chairs remain
empty when surfing competition is underway and the majority of tourists of the main
highway in the south to Unawatuna, Mirissa and other beaches. The sea at Unaw atuna
is beautiful and safe for swimming, which is an issue in other Sri Lankan beach
resorts.

For two weeks we had to hurry from the beach resorts on the south coast to the
hilly country in order to make it to the north of Sri Lanka and its famous cultural
triangle. Next to Weligama is Midigama, a quiet strip that is expected to become
one of the best beaches in Sri Lanka.

Lee Marshall has the lowdown on beautiful beaches, cool hangouts and the best
accommodations. Boossa is a small, relaxed backpacker beach village in the district
of Galle in the southern province of Sri Lanka. Galle Fort is not only a beach
town, but also a fascinating colonial and UNESCO World Heritage Site that must be
visited on a Sri Lanka trip.
