Action of Pantazol

Pantazol belongs to a class of over the counter known

as proton inhibitors (PPIs).
"Pantozol control" is the active ingredient of Pantazol, as
it works by blocking proton pumps, which are "proteins
in the specialized cells in the stomach lining that pump
stomach acid." Thus it reduces acid production and
relieves acid reflux symptoms.

Therapeutic Indication
Short term treatment for symptoms of reflux such as:-
 Heartburn, acid regurgitation in adults.
 Difficulty swallowing
 Persistent cough.
 Prevention of gastric ulcers

contra indication
Conditions
 diarrhea from an infection with Clostridium
 difficile bacteria
 inadequate vitamin B12
 low amount of magnesium in the blood
 A type of kidney inflammation called interstitial
nephritis
 subacute cutaneous lupus erythematosus
 systemic lupus erythematosus
 an autoimmune disease
 osteoporosis
 a condition of weak bones
 a broken bone
Allergies
Proton Pump Inhibitors

Side effects
 Headache
 Dizziness
 Skin irritation
 Diarrhea
 Nausea
 Abdominal pain
 Gases
 Constipation
 Blurred vision
 Heat
 Muscle pain
 High blood sugar level

Action of Ceftriaxone
Ceftriaxone is antibiotic, that works by inhibiting the
mucopeptide synthesis in the bacterial cell wall.
The beta-lactam moiety of ceftriaxone binds to
carboxypeptidases, end opeptidases, and
transpeptidases in the bacterial cytoplasmi membrane.
These enzymes are involved in cell-wall synthesis and cell
division. Binding of ceftriaxone to these enzymes causes
the enzyme to lose activity; Therefore, the bacteria
produce defective cell walls, causing cell death.
indication
It is used to treat a number of bacterial infections such
as: -
 Middle ear infections
 Endocarditis
 Meningitis
 Pneumonia
 Infections of the bones and joints
 Infections inside the abdomen
 Skin infections
 Urinary tract infections
 Gonorrhea
 Pelvic inflammatory disease
 It is sometimes used before surgery

contraindication
it shouldn't be used if you have the following conditions..
( Allergies and Neonates )
Side effects
 injection site reactions (swelling, redness, pain, a
hard lump, or soreness),
 loss of appetite
 nausea
 vomiting
 upset stomach
 diarrhea
 headache
 dizziness
 overactive reflexes
 pain or swelling in your tongue
 sweating
 vaginal itching or discharge
Action of danset
Work in various ways for example antihistamines and
anticholinergic suppress vomiting reflexs motility
stimulants work by increasing movement through
gastrointestirial tract and soretoninal gonists suppress
signals to and form the vomiting center in the brain

Indication of danset
 preventing of nausea and vomiting associated with
initial and repeat courses of emetigenic cancer
chemotherapy including high dose cisplatin
 preventing of post operative nausea and vomiting in
patient where nausea and vomiting must be avoided
post operatively
Side effect of danset
 insomnia
 headache pain

 dry mouth
 abdominal cramps
 diarrhea
 constipation
 parkinsonism
 fatigue
 depression
 menstrual irregularities

Contraindication
 hypersensitivity
 lactation
 pregnancy
 gastric malignancy
 impaired renal and hepatic function

Action of flagyl
inhibits growth of amoebae by binding to DNA resulting
in loss of helical structure strand breakage ,inhibition of
nuclei acid synthesis and cell death

indication of flagyl
 acute intestinal amoebiasis
 acute infection with sysceptible anaerobic bacteria

Side effect
 headache
 nausea
 vomiting
 dry mouth
 constipation
 diarrhea

Contraindication
 alcohol intoxication
 habit of drinking too much alcohol
 seizure
 tingling
 pain of hands and feet
 liver disease
