Thanksgiving is an overly celebrated holiday in the United States and the

Christmas season begins a few weeks in advance. This day is celebrated on the

fourth Thursday in November and is a holiday that was founded by former

President Abraham Lincoln during the days dark of the civil war.

This day is based on having a banquet with friends and family. A typical dish on

this date is turkey with yam, pumpkin, pie of this same one and blueberries.

Thanksgiving food has its roots in the food that the pilgrims of Europe shared with

the Native Americans. Another tradition on this day is to watch a football game

while you are preparing the food. You can also go out to enjoy the outdoors in a fall

season. There are celebrations that are similar as they are in Canada.
