● Virtual learning environment: where a teacher uses
technology to deliver instruction

● History: -Students were forced to go from in person to

completely online because of COVID-19.
-No social interaction led to a negative
impact on students in all grades.
-Since March 2020, schools suffered and
teachers struggled as a result
-This led to students having trouble learning
Presenting the Research

● Positives and negatives

● More to it than just mental health problems
● Students don’t just use the proper apps on school computers
● The pandemic has forced technology to be used
Implementations and Recommendations
● Virtual Club and Organization Meetings
● Virtual Interactive Multiplayer Games
● Digital Watch Parties
● Socially Distanced Outdoor Activities (with masks)
● Teacher-Student Check-Ins
● Mental Health Resources
● Community Donations (food banks, clothing drives, etc.)
Conclusion

● In order to fully understand the effects of remote learning, more research

needs to be conducted.
● We know that learning online in early grades (K-6) has made teaching, social
interaction, and overall student comprehension much more difficult.
● We must continue to study student behavior and pay attention to social,
emotional, and academic skills they do or do not possess.
● Educators should be open to trying new things and hearing what students
have to say about their needs and how they have been affected by COVID-19.
