Find the earliest and latest sale date for each


sales person without using the MINIFS / MAXIFS functions.

2. Use the data in the file Session9 Data.xlsx for this question.
(a) Open the Expenses sheet and note that one of the column headings is blank. Select
cell F4 and enter the heading for the column: Tax Code
(b) Freeze the headers of the data so that when we scroll down the headers remain visible
(c) Create a Table named ExpTable for the data and headers
(d) Create a pivot table on a new worksheet which is based on all the cells in ExpTable.
Use the pivot table to display the total tax inclusive amount for each supplier that is
included in our source data.
(e) Rename the new sheet as: Suppliers
(f) Open the Expenses sheet and change the amount in row 16 from 13,000 to 33,000.
(g) Open the Suppliers sheet and note the grand total at the bottom of the pivot table.
Refresh the pivot table and note the change in the grand total.
(h) Drill down to the source data that makes up the supplier total for the IAS Accountants
supplier.
(i) Open the Expenses sheet and create another pivot table which reflects the monthly
payments for each supplier.

2. A greetings card manufacturing company has 1000 sales outlets in the country. The
demand for Christmas cards in each outlet can vary randomly as per the Normal
Distribution having a mean of 35000 and standard deviation of 9000.

Each card sells for Rs. 40, the cost of producing each card is Rs. 15, the fixed cost is Rs.
50,000, every unsold card has to be disposed off at a cost of Rs. 2. Each of the outlets can
produce 7000 or 10000 or 20000 or 30000 or 40000 or 50000 or 60000 or 65000 or 70000
cards. How many cards should be produced by each outlet?
