When the pulsar installed in the camshaft passes the CMP sensor tip section, voltage is generated that becomes a pulse signal. The engine Control module (ECM) reads this pulse signal, then discriminates between the cylinders based on the signal. The crankshaft position (CKP) sensor detects the fengine speed. When the sensing ball installed in the flywheel housing passes the CKP sensor tip section, voltage is generated that becomes a pulse signal. The ECM reads this pulse signal, and calculates the engine ‘speed and fue! injection timing based on this signal.
