Oral presentation: january 2022

Choose one of the following movies to be the theme of your oral presentation. You
must watch the movie of your choice with English subtitles.
 Happiest Season: A queer Christmas rom com about a couple who hasn’t yet
revealed themselves to one of their parents.
 Listen: A family drama about a poor Portuguese family who is in danger of losing
their children due to immigration policies in the United Kingdom.
 Palm Springs: A sci-fi rom com about two people who are stuck in a time loop,
and thus, must relive the worst day of their lives over and over again.
 Book Club: 4 women in their sixties decide to read 50 shades of Grey for their
Book Club. And things get spicy!
Your oral presentation must contain the following aspects:
 Synopsis of the movie
 Director
 Your opinion on the movie (in here, you may talk about quality of photography,
quality of script, the cast’s performances, the overall theme, what the movie made
you feel or how the public received the movie)
 An opposite review to your own (if you loved the movie, you need to find a written
review of someone who hated the movie)
You must talk between a minimum of 4 minutes and a maximum of 12 minutes. Below,
you’ll find resources that might help you on your work.
1. Letterboxd (it’s an app where you can review the movies you watch; it’s the goodreads
for movies)
2. IMDB (it’s a website that has a range of cinematographic resources. There, you can
find reviews of movies and series, as well as all the information on actors, directors,
cinematographers, and other film crew)
3. https://123moviesgo.vg/: where you might find the movies with English subtitles.
