 What was your biggest challenge while planning the lesson?

 My biggest challenge while planning the lesson was trying to enrich myself in a
culture that I do not have much knowledge on. There were many different phrases
or words that were extremely hard to pronounce, especially without any prior
knowledge.
 Do you feel you created enough interaction during the lesson?  How do you know that you,
as the teacher, did not dominate the discussion?  If you did this lesson again, how could you
create more interaction?
 I believe that this lesson could have benefitted from having more interaction. There
was definitely more times that the teacher was dominating the lesson rather than
the students. I believe that we could have created more interaction by having more
discussions and opportunities for learning rather than just off slides.
 How do you feel you used your co-teacher(s)?  With multiple teachers, do you think you
used this advantage effectively?  What is one way you might approach co-teaching
differently  if you were to teach this lesson again?
 I feel that me and my co-teacher did a good job at diving the information between
ourselves and supporting each other while teaching. We were able to create a
discussion amongst the two of us to support each other while the other was taking
lead on a certain aspect of our presentation. I think the only thing I would change if
we did the lesson again was how log each teacher took the lead during their turn, I
believe we could have beneficiated from less switches and longer leads.
 Did you achieve your objectives?  How can you be sure?  Looking back, was your
assessment effective?  What is one thing you would do differently with assessment if you
had another opportunity to teach this lesson?
 We did achieve our objectives at the end of the lesson. Through our assessment at
the end of the presentation, we were able to get immediate results using kahoot on
how many people were getting the answers correct. There was on overwhelming
amount of correct answers for each question. There was not really anything that
stood out that the students were not able to learn. The one issue with kahoot is you
cannot see who is getting the answers wrong and who is getting them right so you
are unsure of which students need the extra help.
 How did you select the visuals you used in your lesson?  Do you think they were effective in
helping the students make connections?  Why or why not?  Did you find yourself "reading"
your slides, or do you believe you used the slides to highlight important points, as opposed
to just providing a "script" for yourself?
 I believe that we selected good visuals for this lesson. Each visual was carefully
selected to ensure that it related back to the topic at hand. For example when
discussing the Christmas markets, we made sure to find actual pictures of the
markets that we were discussing instead of any Christmas themes graphic. This
allows students to make real connections to the information they are learning rather
than just looking at cute graphics. I do believe our slides were a little word heavy
and could have benefited from having less words that we read off the screen. This
could have been done by only placing key phrases on slides rather than the key
phrases and their explanations.
 In regards to time management, how do you feel you managed the lesson?  Did something
take longer/shorter than you anticipated?  Would you do anything differently if you were to
teach this lesson again?
 Our time management for this lesson worked out exactly as we planned it to. We got
to every part of our lesson without rushing or dragging out the lesson. We were able
to spend an appropriate amount of time on each aspect of our presentation without
missing any parts of the lesson.
