Dear families,

It was my pleasure to teach your little ones this year. I learned from them
as they learned from me, and I am very proud of how far they’ve come
during the short time I have been with them. We have learned, played,
laughed, and made such amazing long-lasting memories this year. They will
always have a soft spot in my heart, given they were my first group of
students. One thing they don’t teach you at college is how difficult and
bittersweet goodbyes are. The past few months have had their ups and
downs, especially given the awful Oxford tragedy, but your kiddos never
failed to cheer me up. Oak Ridge became my home, and your children became
my family. I’ve watched them grow and become amazing first graders, and
for that I am eternally honored.

I want to express my gratitude and appreciation to each and every one of

you. I want to thank you for your generosity, kindness, and grace this year. I
appreciate all your feedback, donations, kind words, and most importantly,
your trust when Mrs. Karczewski was out. It was a pleasure working
alongside with Mrs. Karczewski. She helped me grow as a person and as an
educator. I am very glad that our first graders have her as a teacher.

I am looking forward to graduating from Oakland University and starting my

career as a teacher. My last day at Oak Ridge is Friday, December 10th. As I
always say to our kids, it is never a goodbye: It is a see-you-later. I will miss
each and every student dearly. If you have any questions, please don’t
hesitate to reach me.

Sincerely,
Noor Al-Sharabi
