Self-reflection is important for students because it helps in developing themselves as independent learners that can be capable of learning and regulating the things they learn online and in school. Expressing my thoughts in the paper helps me in relieving the stress, trauma, or emotions I felt during that day; just like what I do in Wattpad, I have my book which is not published because that’s the only way wherein I converse with myself on what happened and my takeaways on why it happened. Writing has been used as a way of expression for those individuals who cannot express what they feel verbally. It has been used to also track records of important events that are now considered as history for us. Virginia Woolf’s diaries took time during the wars in London around 1917; she filled 26 volumes for nearly 30 years, usually sitting after tea and writing down a day, or as is often the case with mental illness, talking about events that ranged from weeks to months. Observations of her people, places, and books are sometimes snappy and prejudiced, often ironic, and concise.
