BSi EN40 checker

Quick Install Guide

Requirements
EN40 is a Windows 32-bit application requiring Windows XP or
later, running on Intel or compatible platforms.

Installation - important notes

The software is supplied with a software key or a licencing device
(dongle), which is network-enabled and which must be
permanently installed or attached to the parallel or USB port of a
computer on the network. The licencing drivers must also be
installed on that computer.
On the computer with the licence key or device, unzip the
deliverable ZIP file into a temporary folder. Run the
SetupDongle.exe installer (found in the Key subfolder). If
prompted, select to automatically adjust firewall settings to allow
remote clients to access the device. Consult the driver software
documentation for instructions on how to monitor the licence usage
and proper operation of the device.
On the computer where EN40 will be used (can be the same as
above), unzip the deliverable ZIP file into a temporary folder. Run
setup.exe to install the software application.
Use the generated Start menu shortcut to launch the EN40 application. The licence key or device is sought on a local port, or
on a remote computer, and a licence is requested. If any of the above fail, an error message is displayed and the application
terminates. Ensure that the network firewall does not block UDP port 6001, and consult the documentation in the Key folder of
the unzipped temporary installation folder structure to set the NSP_HOST environment variable if licencing problems persist.
The temporary installation folders may now be deleted.
Full instructions on how to use the software can be accessed via the Help menu. The EN40 application or the licence drivers
may be uninstalled via the Add/Remove Programs applet in the Windows Control Panel. User-generated files are not
removed.

IMPORTANT
The supplied security device ensures the legal usage of your software licence(s).
If the device is misplaced, the cost of its replacement will be that of equivalent
additional licence(s), so it is imperative that it is properly safeguarded.
Keep the present instructions sheet safe for future re-use.
