SCIENTIST WANTED What is a Wanted Poster? ‘A wanted poster is a sign used to inform the public that a criminal is at large. Sometimes local authorities will offer rewards for any information that leads to an arrest. Wanted posters have been around for centuries, but are most noted during the period of the wild west (1865 - 1895). Objective ‘Your task is to design a wanted poster that informs the public about the contributions of one scientist. Unlike real wanted posters, your suspect will not be wanted as a criminal. Instead, they will be wanted for their scientific accomplishments. Before embarking on your project, review the expectations below. WANTED POSTER EXPECTATIONS Complete the research sheets before designing your wanted poster. As you conduct research, copy and paste the URLs in the Works Cited page. ‘Your poster must include a photo of the scientist. Note: You can click Insert > Image > Search the Web within this document to find photos. The photo must be labeled with the name of the scientist. You must include 3 full sentences that describes the contributions of the scientist. Proper spelling and grammar should be used. Be creative! Design your poster in a fun theme!
