The name change, revealed by Zuckerberg during Facebook Connect,

corresponds with the company's expanding focus on the metaverse,
which refers to efforts to blend virtual and augmented reality
technology in a new online domain.
Outside of its California offices, the firm also changed its
corporate sign, which featured an image of a "thumbs up," with
one advertising its new logo: a blue infinity symbol.

area. This is the fastest
growing social networking site;
Facebook has expanded from a
network of college students to
a worldwide network of people
of many races and ages. This is
one of the top social networks,
with many exceptional features
and several advantages.
The downside of Facebook is
the leakage of sensitive
information, and the level
of risk will increase if
your network of connections
expands. I think that is
one of main reason Meta
appeared, is to prevent
that from happening.
This is not the first time a
company's name has been
changed. Kentucky Fried Chicken
became KFC, Datsun became
Nissan, and Snapchat became
Snap. Their names may differ,
but I believe they are aiming
for the same thing: to reflect
and inform the public about the
company's larger goals.
