Introduction of the Project Online E-commerce System:

The "Online E-commerce System" has been developed to override the

problems prevailing in the practicing manual system. This software is
supported to eliminate and in some cases reduce the hardships faced by
this existing system. Moreover, this system is designed for the particular
need of the company to carry out operations in a smooth and effective
manner.
The application is reduced as much as possible to avoid errors while
entering the data. It also provides error message while entering invalid
data. No formal knowledge is needed for the user to use this system. Thus
by this all it proves it is user-friendly. Online E-commerce System, as

2. Objective of the project:

The objective of this project is to create an e-commerce web portal with a content management
system which would allow product information to be updated securely using a mobile device. The
web portal will have an online interface in the form of an e-commerce website that will allow users
to buy goods from the merchants.

The e-commerce portal will have the following key features:

●An online shop that will allow online shoppers to buy wares from formal and informal merchants.
● A search engine on the website to allow customers to find specific types of merchandise.
●A secure online transaction system that will allow shoppers to purchase goods safely using their
credit cards.
●A database of merchandise with photos, product descriptions and stock information. This database
will also contain all relevant merchant and customer information.
●A data security system that will ensure that all data that is transmitted between the various system.

RDBMS (Relational Database Management Systems)

Relational Database Management System is a type of Database Management System that

stores data in the form of related tables. Relational databases are powerful because they require
few assumptions about how data is related or how it will be extracted from the database. An
important feature of relational systems is that a single database can be spread across several tables

Future scope of the project

In future we can make this website online so that the user will be able to do online shopping.
Online shopping will be provided through on-line.
➢ In a nutshell, it can be summarized that the future scope of the project circles
around maintaining information regarding:
➢ We can add clothes, phones in future.
➢ We can give more advance software for Online Shopping including
more facilities
➢ We will host the platform on online servers to make it accessible worldwide
➢ Integrate multiple load balancers to distribute the loads of the system
➢ Create the master and slave database structure to reduce the overload of the
database queries

Methodology (including a summary of the project):

Ecommerce Website is an online website. Here the client can do online shopping sitting at home
from any place. Client can search for shoes, watch, clothes, etc. in the website and can have their
products in their hand.

Module Description:

❖ The add-to-cart button is a feature of ecommerce stores that allows customers to choose
items to purchase without actually completing the payment. ... It also allows shoppers to
purchase multiple items at one time display Product

❖ Remove from cart:

❖ You may remove items from your cart by clicking the "Shopping Cart" button, which is located
just below the navigation menu. Click the selection box beside the item(s) you'd like to
remove, and then click the "Remove Selected" button. Add Product:

❖ Add Product:

the number or expression resulting from the multiplication together of two or more numbers or
expressions. Something produced especially : commodity sense something (such as a service) that
is marketed or sold as a commodity.

❖ Remove Product:

Product deletion is the process through which a product or an entire product line is removed from
the product portfolio either through product elimination or product replacement

Data Structure of the program:

This existing system of buying goods has several disadvantages. It requires lots of time to travel to the
 particular shop to buy the products. Since everyone is leading busy life now a days, time means a lot
to everyone. Also, there are expenses for travelling from house to shop. More over the shop from
where we would like to buy something may not be open 24*7*365. Hence, we have to adjust our time
with the shopkeeper’s time or vendor’s time.

In order to overcome these, we have e-commerce solution, i.e., one place where we can get all
required goods/products online. The proposed system helps in building a website to buy, sell products
or goods online using internet connection. Purchasing of goods online, user can choose different
products based on categories, online payments, delivery services and hence covering the
disadvantages of the existing system and making the buying easier and helping the vendors to reach
wider market.

The main objective of the proposed system is to help the user. The system can be handy to the user
in the following reasons:
➢ To provide user login facility and a user-friendly system.
➢ To manage the details about the ordered products, ordered products and return
products etc.
➢ To generate reports based on the records available.
➢ Reduce the human effort and work and time consumption.

E-commerce Website can be applied to large shopping platform with more updated products. Hence
it reduces time consumption, speed and human effort.
