Strengthening/Motor skills

Whole arm
- Under the table drawing (tape paper to bottom of the table and students lay underneath with pencils)

Whole hand
- Stress/squishy balls (squeeze as many times as you can in 1 minute)
- Sponges
- Scrunching recycling paper into tight balls, throwing into bin
- Water spray bottles outside
- Using scissors
- Connect 4
- Hammering
- Using staplers (paper chains)

Fingers
- Tearing and gluing paper collage
- Pegs/tweezers/tongs
- Mini paper crumpling (index finger, middle finger, thumb
- Buttons (on jumpers maybe?)
- Use small items like buttons, counters for example, have variety of colours in one bowl. Students
pick out their favourite colour with one hand and hold them in that same hand until they can’t hold
anymore, then drop them into a new bowl one at a time
- Coin flips
- Rubber bands
- Pick up sticks
- Hammering nails
- Make small playdough balls then squish between thumb and one other finger
- Stickers (dots inside letters or shapes)
- Velcro (alphabet board)
- Threading
- Sticky tape
- Card games
- Eye droppers (transfer water)
