How to analyze item facility, item discrimination, and interpretation


Definition
Item : item is a series of sentences containing questions to identify or evaluate
Stem : is the part of the survey question that presents the issue about which the question is
asking (Topic ).
Distracter : is - having one's thoughts or attention drawn away : unable to concentrate or give
attention to something. in the use of this testing means there can be other options
Key/ Answer : in this testing it can be interpreted that something will be the goal of a question. the
answer key is something that is permanent and becomes the real goal

ITEM FACILITY (IF)


is defined here as the proportion in percentage of students who answered a particular item
correctly. 
There is formula to use the IF :
IF = N correct (the number students answering correctly)
N Total (the number of students taking the test)
About the range : 0 0,5 1

In simply, IF serves as a tool to identify the level of difficulty of the questions given
ITEM DISCRIMINATION ( ID)
Is a statistic that indicates the degree to which an item separates the students who performed well
from those who did poorly on the test.
