During the listening party for the Daylight album, Mariano

introduced the songwriters behind her debut album.

First off is For Your Eyes Only, written by Trisha Denise.

Denise described her creative process in composing the
song.

“Tinawagan ako to specifically create ‘yung love theme

song for He’s Into Her.

Mariano agreed with Denise, noting that For Your Eyes

Only is also for overthinkers like them.

“Pareho kami ng pagkakaintindi ni Trisha ng For Your

Eyes Only. ‘Yun din pagkakaintindi ko. Tapos like Trisha,
I’m part over thinker so I feel like sa lahat ng nag-o-over
think diyan pakinggan niyo lang ang For Your Eyes Only. I
feel like pinakainspirasyon talaga natin ang Diyos.”

Next up, Mariano introduced the Majarlika who wrote

With You. Majarlika recalled her experience writing the
song, noting that it reflected her love life.

“And in this case, my reflection of my relationship or my

love life or how I envision my future relationship to be and
it is where I see myself as a woman who is not necessarily
in the perfect situation or perfect state but is/ secured with
my own ability to overcome my external and internal
struggles and to be with somebody who is the same.”

After that, SAB explained the message behind Rainy Days.

The songwriter said that the song wants to remind others
about spending as much time as possible with the people
they love.

“The message of this song is basically getting to spend as

much time as possible with the one you love. You’re in
each other’s comfort–you’re in each other’s company. And,
you’re just trying to relax and stay present at the moment,
especially on rainy days.”
Alexis Tagadtad, who wrote Nights of December, said she
felt inspired by the heartbreak caused by the
circumstances of life.

“I was inspired to write this song based on people’s

experiences around me, and I want to write a song about
heartbreak that was /caused by the circumstances of life
and the growth of an individual rather than the type of
heartbreak we are familiar in songs.”

Gabriel Tagadtad, who wrote Tanging Dahilan, shared the

story behind the song.

“The story of the song is about the feeling of love. ‘Yung

nakilala mo ‘yung tao na magbibigay sayo ng dahilan para
maging excited ka sa mga susunod na araw. Tapos mare-
realize mo or mare-realize mo ulit na ganito pala ‘yung
pakiramdam ng umiibig. Lahat ng bagay, lahat ng gagawin
mo, magkakaroon ng dahilan at kahulagan ng dahil sa tao
na ‘to.”
